How YONDELIS^® works

YONDELIS^® (trabectedin) is an alkylating drug that binds guanine residues in the minor groove of DNA.¹

This forms adducts that bend the DNA molecule toward the major groove.^1,2

Adducts can affect the activity of transcription factors and DNA repair mechanisms. This results in cell cycle arrest and the eventual death of tumor cells.^1,3,4
