How YONDELIS® works

YONDELIS® (trabectedin) is an alkylating drug that binds guanine residues in the minor groove of DNA.1

This forms adducts that bend the DNA molecule toward the major groove.1,2

Adducts can affect the activity of transcription factors and DNA repair mechanisms. This results in cell cycle arrest and the eventual death of tumor cells.1,3,4
